The Problem
The Never-ending Abyss That Is Our photo Library
With vast and disorganized media libraries, users often struggle to rediscover meaningful memories. The challenge was to design an experience that intelligently surfaces relevant and connected memories, making it easier for users to reconnect with important moments from their past.
How might we help users rediscover and connect with meaningful memories in their overwhelming media libraries by intelligently surfacing relevant moments?
Solution
Crafting Stories from Your Best Moments
"Create a Memory" feature allows users to curate memories by selecting their photos and videos, adding an audio track, writing text (with optional AI assistance), and applying text effects. Users can then share these personalized memories, turning meaningful moments into shareable stories.
relive those favorite moments, instantly
I designed the Contextual Memories feature so as to automatically suggest memories based on recent media uploads. By analyzing factors like location, events, people, and media content, the system surfaces relevant memories, helping users effortlessly relive significant moments.
connecting the dots, down your memory lane
Connected Memories—which shows up once a certain memory is done, surfaces related memories after users view their contextual ones. This encourages users to explore deeper connections between different moments, creating a continuous and engaging journey through their past.
